Valentine's Day Afternoon Tea: February 14, 2010. Sunday 1:30 - 3:30 PM
Our member, Gail Henderson, is organizing a Fashion Show and Tea at Tampa Yacht & Country Club. Proceeds will benefit military wives' attendance to this event. Asia Tea Society members who wants to participate as a group, please send $30 to Gail. Gail's phone number: 813.928.1166
Scone Making: February 20, 2010. Saturday at noon.
Former restaurent owner and our member, Judy Schiffbauer, is the instructor. The scones we make will be paired with Darjeeling Okayti Treasure Tea. Participants will enjoy the English style afternoon tea. Fee.

We celebrated the Year of Tiger with the Okinawan Tea Ceremony. Okinawan "bukubuku" (foam) tea and pastry were served after the tea ritual. We apologize to guests who could not join this event due to space limit.

home. Bring your apron and be ready to have fun.

This year's menu included Sanjeok (skewed beef and leek marinated
in Korean sauce), kimchi pancake and green tea. Our member, Susan O's mango pudding and Thai style salad were to die for. 22 members gathered and had a great time.
New Year's Tea Party: January 17, 2009 Saturday 11:00 AM. Fifteen members celebrated the new year with a Korean tea ceremony. The lotus tea, cake tea and home-made traditional tea pastries were served.

Tea Soap: On October 4, 2008, eight members had fun making their own green tea soap. The ingredients we used were soap base, powdered green tea, last year's Korean green tea leaves, olive oil, honey, fragrance and soap color.
Tea Cuisine: On June 4, 2008, six members made their own tea noodles and enjoyed an Asian style lunch. By popular demand, the recipe is listed. Flour 3C, powdered green tea 5 ts, brewed green tea 1C. Dough setting in a breadmaker (takes 15 minutes.) With manual pasta maker, make fettucini.
